MCP

Connect via MCP

GetBotRank runs a remote MCP server so an AI coding agent - Claude, Lovable MCP, Webflow AI, or any other MCP client - can pull your page-audit issues straight into its own context and fix them in your codebase or site.

1. Get an API key

Generate one from the API Keys page. It starts with el_live_ and is shown only once - this is the same key used by the Chrome extension, and it authenticates your MCP connection too.

2. Connect your MCP client

The server URL is https://api.getbotrank.com//mcp, authenticated with an Authorization: Bearer <your key> header (an X-Api-Key header works too). Exactly how you add that depends on the client:

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http getbotrank https://api.getbotrank.com//mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Claude Desktop / other JSON-config MCP clients

Add this to your client's MCP server config (e.g. its mcpServers block):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "getbotrank": {
      "url": "https://api.getbotrank.com//mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

Lovable MCP, Webflow AI, and similar

Look for an "Add MCP server" or "Connect a tool" option in the client's settings, and supply the URL and header above. If the client only accepts a URL with no custom header field, it doesn't support this connection yet - reach out and we'll help find a workaround.

3. What it can do

  • list_audits - Lists your page audits (id, url, status, score, grade), newest first - optionally filtered by domain.
  • get_audit - Fetches one audit in full, including the issues array a coding agent needs to actually fix the page, plus scores and metrics.
  • run_audit - Queues a fresh audit for a URL, so an agent can verify a fix it just made. Costs 4 credits.

4. Try it

Open any audit from your Site Audits page and copy the ready-made prompt on that page, or just ask your agent directly, e.g."List my GetBotRank audits for example.com and fix whatever's wrong with the lowest-scoring one."

Keep your key private

Your API key grants access to your account's audits and credits - running audits via MCP spends the same credits as the dashboard. Don't share your key or commit it to a repo. If compromised, revoke it from the API Keys page and create a new one.
