How to get your API key

The GetBotRank extension uses an API key to link your analyses to your account. Follow these four steps to get started.

  1. Step 1

    Create a free account

    Go to getbotrank.com/signup and sign up. It only takes a moment - no credit card required.

  2. Step 2

    Open the API Keys page

    After logging in, navigate to getbotrank.com/api-keys from your dashboard.

  3. Step 3

    Generate and copy your key

    Click "Create", give your key a name (e.g. "My Extension"), then copy the key that appears. It starts with el_live_ and is shown only once - save it somewhere safe.

  4. Step 4

    Paste it into the extension

    Open the GetBotRank extension in Chrome, paste your key into the "Enter your API Key" field, and click Connect. You're all set.

Keep your key private

Your API key grants access to your credits. Don't share it or commit it to public repositories. If compromised, revoke it from the API Keys page and create a new one.
