How it works

  1. 1

    We read the head

Title, meta description, canonical link, robots meta, Open Graph and Twitter tags from the served HTML.

  2. 2

    We check lengths and completeness

Titles over about 60 characters and descriptions over about 160 get cut in results. Missing og:image is the usual reason shared links look bare.

  3. 3

    We draw four previews

Google result, LinkedIn post, X card and WhatsApp link, built from the tags you actually have.

Why it matters for AI search

Titles and descriptions are the first thing both search engines and AI assistants read when summarising a page. Clear, accurate meta tags make your page easier to cite correctly, and good social cards decide whether a shared link gets clicked.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a title be?

About 30 to 60 characters. Google cuts titles by pixel width, so 60 characters is a safe budget.

Are the previews exact?

They are close approximations built from your tags. Each platform changes its layout from time to time and caches old previews.

Why does LinkedIn show an old image?

LinkedIn and other platforms cache previews. Re-scrape the URL in their inspector tools after you change tags.

Does noindex stop AI crawlers?

A robots meta noindex tells search engines not to index the page. Some AI products respect it and some do not, so treat it as a strong signal to stay out.
