SSR Checker: Does Your Page Exist Without JavaScript?

A free tool that fetches your page like an AI crawler does and measures the content, headings and links that exist before JavaScript runs.

Open your site in a browser and it looks fine. Fetch the same URL with a plain HTTP request and sometimes you get an empty <div id="root"></div> and a pile of script tags.

Googlebot runs JavaScript. Most AI crawlers do not. GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot fetch the HTML and read what is there. If your headline, pricing and product copy are added by scripts, those crawlers see nothing to quote, and no ordinary SEO tool flags it because Google can read the page.

How to use it

  1. Enter a page URL.
  2. We make one request with no JavaScript, the same view a non-rendering crawler gets.
  3. Check the verdict: server-rendered, partly client-rendered, or client-rendered.

What the checks mean

  • Words in the HTML. Under 50 words is a fail. Under 200 is a warning.
  • Empty app container. An empty #root, #app or #__next means the page is built in the browser.
  • Text only in hydration data. Strings that sit in the page's data payload but not in the visible HTML are likely rendered by scripts later.

We do not run a headless browser, so this is an estimate from the raw HTML and its hydration data, and the report says so on every run. If it flags a problem, confirm with View Source in your browser.
