Schema Validator: Find JSON-LD Errors and Copy a Corrected Block

A free schema validator that reads the JSON-LD and microdata a crawler receives, checks eight common types, and gives you a corrected block to paste.

Broken structured data fails silently. A trailing comma in one JSON-LD block and the whole thing is ignored, with no error on the page and no warning in your analytics.

Structured data is one of the few places where you can tell a machine exactly what your page is, instead of hoping it guesses right. Organization markup with sameAs links also helps AI systems connect your site to the right company when names are similar.

How to use it

  1. Enter the URL of any page.
  2. We extract every JSON-LD block, including @graph, plus microdata, from the HTML as served.
  3. Read the checks, then copy the corrected JSON-LD at the bottom and fill in the values marked REPLACE.

What the checks mean

  • Parse errors. Invalid JSON means crawlers skip the block. The fix is nearly always a stray comma or a smart quote.
  • Required fields. Missing a required property, like headline on an Article or address on a LocalBusiness, is marked as a fail.
  • Recommended fields. Properties such as logo, sameAs, dateModified and aggregateRating are warnings. The page is valid without them, but gives answer engines less to quote.

This is a markup check against the properties each type needs. It does not claim Google rich result eligibility. For that, only Google's own Rich Results Test is the authority.
