Brand Entity Checker: Are You on Wikidata and Wikipedia?
Check whether your brand exists as a Wikidata entity, which properties are filled in, and whether your Organization schema links to it with sameAs.
Two companies can share a name. AI systems sort them apart using knowledge graphs, and the most widely used open one is Wikidata.
A Wikidata item with an official website, logo, founding date and industry is machine-readable proof of who you are. Linking to it from your site's Organization markup closes the loop.
How to use it
- Enter your brand name, and your website if you want the sameAs check.
- We search Wikidata and prefer the item whose official website matches your domain.
- Read the property checks and the sameAs result.
What the checks mean
- Entity found. No match means no canonical record. Match on a different website means it may be another company.
- Properties. Official website, logo, inception date and industry.
- Wikipedia. An English article, if one is linked.
- sameAs. Your Organization JSON-LD should list your Wikidata URL.
Do not create a Wikidata item or a Wikipedia article for a brand without independent coverage. They get deleted. Build press and third-party mentions first.
