AI Citability Analyzer: Score Every Passage on Your Page

A free tool that scores each section of a page on how easily an answer engine can quote it. Fixed rules, no AI model, and the weights are published.

Answer engines do not quote pages. They quote passages. A paragraph that opens with "This also helps" cannot be lifted out of context, however good the page around it is.

The passages that get cited tend to share a few traits: they name their subject, they contain specific numbers or dates, and they answer a question in a length that fits in a response. This tool measures those traits.

How to use it

  1. Enter a URL of an article or product page.
  2. We extract the main content, the same way reader mode does, and split it into passages by heading.
  3. Work through the passages from weakest to strongest and apply the fix listed under each.

What the checks mean

  • Self-contained (25 points). Does the passage start with its own subject, or with "this", "it" or "however"?
  • Concrete facts (20). Numbers, dates, prices, measurable results.
  • Entity named (15). Your brand or product appears by name, not just "we".
  • Length (15). 60 to 170 words is the sweet spot.
  • Question heading (10), structure (10), trust (5). Question-style headings, lists or tables, and visible author and date signals.

There is no AI in the scoring. The same page always gets the same score, and a high score does not guarantee a citation. It means the text is easy to quote.
